Historically, the church has celebrated the four weeks of advent to mark the beginning of the liturgical calendar. During this season we remember the incarnation of the Eternal Son and look forward to His return when He will set the world to rights. Advent is a celebration of both remembrance and anticipation.
“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
-John 14:27 (NKJV)
Each Sunday of Advent we focus on a different aspect of who JESUS is to us. He is our HOPE, LOVE, JOY, and PEACE. This week, Chad will be leading us in a celebration of JESUS: irrational peace.
